June 2024

Works Secured for 33 Old Broad Street

We’re excited to announce that we have been appointed by Livingston to undertake the Commissioning Management, Commissioning & Testing, Water Treatment and the Mechanical O&Ms for 33 Old Broad Street.

Boasting an impressive 191,00 Sq. ft, the Grade A 1997 build is currently undergoing refurbishment. It resides in the heart of London and is intended to be used as the new head office for Lloyds Banking Group.

The building transformation is set to open its doors in November 2024 and is part of the groups plans to upgrade its property estate across the UK, creating modern state-of-the-art workspaces for its team!

We’re extremely proud to be a part of the process working with Livingston to help deliver the project with our dedicated team of Commissioning Managers, Engineers and Technical Authors.

Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month. We’d like to take a moment to highlight how anyone can experience mental ill health at some point in their life, in fact, currently 1 in 4 people do to be more precise…

Unfortunately, as you can see from these statistics. When it comes to Men, there is a lot of stigma around vocalising your mental health issues or reaching out for help when you need it. This often leads to Men bottling up their emotions and failing to receive the help they require.

Let’s use this month to help break this stigma!

Remember, it’s okay to ask for help, it’s ok to not feel ok and you don’t need to “man up”

Don’t let yourself become a part of the statistics…

For those in the construction industry, those statistics are unfortunately even higher. End Systems have a team of trained mental health first aiders to provide support to our colleagues and we also support The Lighthouse Charity, which is a charity that offer a free and confidential 24/7 Construction Industry Helpline, live chat services and text HARDHAT facility. All of which provide a range of information, guidance and support on a huge variety of wellbeing issues.

These services are also complemented by a free Self Support App which offers another route to support, along with Lighthouse Beacons which provide a safe space for people to share concerns.

Works Secured for National Rehabilitation Centre

We’re excited to announce that we have been appointed by TClarke Contracting to undertake the Commissioning & Testing, Water Treatment and the Mechanical & Electrical O&Ms for National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) Project.

The NRC programme was set up to help bring to life the ambition to transform outcomes of those who have suffered potentially life-altering injuries, trauma or illness.

The Nottingham University Hospitals NHS trust can currently provide rehabilitative support to just over 100 patients per year at Linden Lodge, with this new facility they will be able to help over 750 patients a year, that’s seven times as many patients!

Combining high-quality design and bespoke treatment facilities, this 70-bed specialist clinical building is set to be complete for 2025. Based in acres of parkland, it will contribute directly to patient wellbeing. It will be designed and constructed to achieve the highest standards of sustainability, performance and energy efficiency.

We’re extremely proud to be working on this project, helping to create a better future both in sustainability and for those who need specialist help.
